A hectic launch and some brisk early sales saw the event off to a great start on May 9th.

The space has been organised by StartUp Britain’s retail arm PopUp Britain. Over the next year, the premises will allow a fresh group of 12 new brands to sell their products for a fortnight through a bricks and mortar store, helping retailers to complement their online offering.

The event offers a valuable chance for us to share battle stories and lessons learned with other retail startups. It’s also an awesome opportunity to get first hand customer feedback on our new and existing product range.

CLICLOC will be at the PopUp Britain pop-up shop at 387 King’s Road until Wednesday 22nd May 2013 so please come visit us! Try one of our ni or classic watches. Don’t forget to check out some of the other quirky, weird and wonderful objects popping up in store.

Always fun ... on and off the wrist

We’re sharing the space with 9 other incredible startup brands including Choulachou, Laura Smith Glass, The Gorgeous Company, The Cocoa Mistress, RainWave, Zoe Boomer, Pinnuci P&Co Mens Wear and Couth Eyewear.

A big CLICLOC thank you goes to Emma Jones and Michael Hayman founders of StartUp Britain and PopUp Britain. Thanks also to Katie James, Becky Jones, Jamie Williams and Lorna Bladen for making the event happen.

CLICLOC at Stitch Menswear AW13

Today and tomorrow we're flaunting ourselves at Stitch Menswear AW13 show. "What's Stitch Menswear?" I hear you ask, well, it's this really cool menswear trade show based in the heart of Islington; the coolest streetwear/niche/premium brands are here to show off their wares to potential buyers and the media. Please note: no riff raff allowed! This is such an amazing opportunity for us, as we get to reach out to new customers/suppliers in our quest to take over the world.

As well as our iconic Classic and ni ranges we've pulled a new range out the bag as well as some unannounced products *nudge, nudge, wink, wink* which we're extremely excited about!

While we of course know you want to know more about the newness, and we don't really like to tease, well not  too much anyway... the most we can say is keep it CLICLOC(ked) and we'll give you more info as and when we can!

Ciao for now.

Don't Panic! We deliver on Christmas Day

It's that time of year when everyone is trying to get all their last minute Christmas shopping done and so traditionally all ecommerce sites will give you their Christmas delivery cut off dates.

In our case, you need to get your orders in by midday on the Thursday 20th of December for orders to mainland United Kingdom to avoid disappointment.

However, this year we wanted to think of ways of providing a truly "CLICLOC" Christmas Delivery service ... and then it hit us!  Why not offer deliveries on orders made as late as Christmas Day! You can't get much more last minute than that!

So we are proud to offer our "Time is the Present" Christmas Day online order delivery service.

Customers in our home town of London who run out of time trying to find a suitable present for their loved ones can order a Black Classic watch from our website up until midday December 25th, and we will do our best to personally deliver one of our iconic timepieces to them before the end of Christmas day - all at no extra cost!

Wearing our purple glasses and bow ties, our CLICLOC team will be monitoring our online website, ready to fulfil orders as and when they come in.

To ensure speedy delivery the service will be limited to orders of our most popular model, the Gun Metal Black Classic CLICLOC watch and we will even include our special Christmas gift wrapping.

So, now if you find yourself needing an ultra last minute present fix, Team CLICLOC has your back!

CLICLOC featured in the Wright Stuff’s Christmas Contest

In case you missed it, CLICLOC was a featured prize in The Wright Stuff’s Christmas Competition 2012.

Participants in the “Nativ-eat-y” Contest were tasked with creating a Christmas collage entirely from food. Yes… food! (Come on, you know we couldn’t pass up a contest this quirky!)

Permitted to use only leftovers and pantry items they had on hand, the culinary artists snapped photos of their festive masterpieces, sent them into Channel 5 and then crossed their fingers for luck.

Throughout the nine-day contest a prize was added daily, creating an incredible assortment of gifts for one very lucky winner.

Notified on 14 December, the winner received everything from this season’s 12 hottest toys to pet accessories, a gourmet food hamper, electronics, high-value gift cards and a PlayStation 3 – and of course they are now proudly sporting their brand new CLICLOC ni watches! Read more about the contest and fantastic prizes here.

From all of us at CLICLOC, congratulations to this year’s winner!

CLICLOC’s CEO talks to Management Today Magazine

Management Today’s Rebecca Burn-Callander snagged a chat with the Chief Executive Officer of CLICLOC for a look back at the start-up company’s first year – definitely not an easy task, considering Obi Nwosu’s diary is booked solid making great CLICLOC products for all our customers.

Obi and his co-founder, Brian Downer, have averaged a ridiculous four hours of sleep per night since CLICLOC was introduced in London in 2011. The two close friends dedicate every waking minute to product sales, increasing brand recognition with their signature “quirky” promotional style, new designs, working with our manufacturers, and of course the mundane, but necessary, administrative responsibilities that come with running a successful business, creating great products and making our customers smile.

In his discussion with Rebecca earlier this month, Obi shared his inspiration for CLICLOC, his experiences with current sales channel opportunities and some of CLICLOC’s quirky nature.

The full article is available here, including a few lessons learned and some sage advice from Obi for all you budding entrepreneurs out there!
